[Incu Thursday] Múm, And So I Watch You From Afar, Doom + many more added for Incu ‘13

Somehow our bookers have managed to add another 19 names to our rapidly expanding Incu ’13 line-up. If your feeling a little overwhelmed by the amount of names, don’t worry, we are still busy discovering new favorites ourselves. For this Thursday we have some artists you may know, and some that are probably new to you. Enough to discover! Here are the newly confirmed artists:
Today’s 19 additions:
Múm
And So I Watch You From Afar
DOOM
Barn Owl
White Hills
The Revival Hour
Ghédalia Tazartès
Poltergeist
Giant Drag
Ed schrader’s music beat
Evan Caminiti
Jon Porras
Fat White Family
Foton Kuşağı
Age Of Agony
Abysmal Darkening
Viscera///
Razoreater
Darkshaft
Even though that picture up there is very tropical, Múm are pretty Icelandic, something you can hear very well. Wonderful, intricate post-rock that fills you with a childlike sense of wonder at how pretty things can be. Enough blasting-out-of-skin material this Incubate, but And So I Watch You From Afar bring a specific kind math-rock violence which we are very happy to welcome to Tilburg. Don’t be confused but Doom is a crust/punk band. Actually, no time for confusion because the 90 second long, song-onslaught will require all your attention. If you want to take more time for a song Barn Owl will provide ambient drones in their most apocalyptic forms.
Other acts in include psychedelic drone band White Hills, experimental pop-band The Revival Hour, cult extravaganza Ghédalia Tazartès, instrumental trio Poltergeist (with ex-Echo and the Bunnymen), decadent pop/grunge with super front-woman Giant Drag, paranoid punk-pop Ed Schrader’s Music Beat, ambient-drone Evan Caminiti and Jon Porras (both Barn Owl members), demented slackers garage band Fat White Family, Turkish indie-rock band Foton Kuşağı, extreme 90′s thrash-metal reunion of Tilburg finest Age of Agony, doom doom dooooom metal Abysmal Darkening, Psych post-rock, experimental post-metal, lo-fi doom (catch breath…) band Viscera///, aggressive hardcore band Razoreater and crazy rock ‘n roll/hardcore duo Darkshaft. It’s starting to look like a whole, exciting merry bunch of artists!
That makes 155 artists now confirmed for the Incubate week in September! For audio previews of (almost) all confirmed artists, check out our brand new website on www.incubate.org or the Incubate 2013 Spotify playlist.
